Today I got to spend the day with an old friend. Forrest and I met while attending youth group together in Chatsworth, we were fast friends and did a lot together during our teenage years. I even went with Forrest to his senor prom. He has been living far away for the past few years and has just recently moved back, which is a good thing because his future wife lived here! I met Mandi about 6 months ago and knew she was perfect for Forrest. I was so excited when i found out they were engaged!
It was awesome getting to spend time with an old friend it was like we were teenagers all over again. Today we met in Venice Beach and had a wonderful afternoon spent taking beautiful photo's. It was amazing to watch them together, they are so in love. I was able to put on my zoom lens and just take photo's of them together from a distance. I love the candid shots that I got. I think that these are my best photo's to date. Their love is so sweet and they were both so comfertable together. It was as if i wasn't there at all. Which is what I wanted as a photographer. It is my hope and prayer that Forrest and Mandi will always be this in love and that they will continue to bless others with their lives!Thank you Mandi and Forrest for letting me capture your love in photographs.

Today I got to photograph my sister Cristal and her family. They needed updated pictures and photo's for their Christmas card. So we headed over to a local park and had fun taking pictures. Also one of the girls from my Youth Group Elyse came a long to help assist me. She's taking a photography class at school and I thought it would be fun to ask her to help me on a couple of photo shoots. Thanks for being there Elyse! The only bummer was how cloudy it was. When I left my house the sky's were blue and had pretty little fluffy clouds. But by the time I got to the park it was over cast. However I think we got some great shots dispite the clouds. I just hope Cristla likes them!
I so enjoyed taking these pictures, i love my sister and brother in law. However my most favortie thing was making my nephew Josh smile. He is such a beautiful little boy and I love him so much. He lights up the photo's with his silly personality and has brought so much happiness to Cristal and Jeff and our whole family.
I hope Cristal enjoyes these pictures. It's such a pleasure to be able to document a families history. I look forward to many many more photo shoots with them!
I love to watch children find dandelions and with amazing delight blow them out... and then go on to search for another. Why can't we be more like children sometimes?
As children we run and pick these flowers, because we can't wait to blow them out and make a wish. But as adults we walk right past them or pull them out of our yards because they are "weeds". Sometimes we need to stop in our crazy lives and make a wish. Because you never know, it might just come true.
This photo in color is really not impressive, but for some reason in black and white it is stunning. And it really drives home the nostalgia of the dandelion for me. What do you think?
