New Recipe: Open Face Steak Bruschetta Sandwiches
1 lb. skirt steak, flank steak or what ever is on sale
1 Tbs. salt
1 Tbs. garlic powder (NOT garlic salt)
1/2 Tbs. black pepper
Combine salt, garlic powder and pepper, and rub all over steak. Cook on grill or skillet for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Let rest for 5 minutes.
1 French baguette
2 Tbs. butter
1 glove crushed garlic
1 ball of buffalo mozzarella cheese
Cute baguette length wise and then in half, making four peices and toast. Melt butter and garlic in microwave for 35 seconds. Once bread is toasted brush garlic butter on it and add sliced mozzarella. Place back in broiler or toaster oven to melt cheese.
Brushetta topping
2 tomatoes diced
4 Tbs. basil
1 Tbs. olive oil
salt pepper to taste
Combine tomatoes, basil, olive oil and salt and pepper. Now you are ready to built the ultimate steak sandwich. Thinly slice steak and place on top of garlic cheese bread. Then top with Bruschetta mixture. Makes four sandwiches. So make this and let me know what you think! Thanks!
