A day at the Park
Today my mom came over to spend some much needed time with Sienna. She had a great idea to take Sienna to the park. We enjoyed a yummy lunch at The Habit, and then were off to the duck park, which by the way is where Daniel and I were married. The coolest thing about this park is it has a big lake in the middle of it and there are tons of ducks, geese, and other birds. Oh by the way, I have a little phobia of birds, but I am working on it. hehe!
Mom and Sienna loved the birds and had fun feeding them crackers, and i enjoyed staying back at a safe distance and took pictures. Sienna loved being so close to animals, she just can't get enough. As we walked around the lake all of the ducks followed us, which made Sienna giggle with joy. We ended up at a play area which Sienna learned she could go down a slide all on her own. What a big girl! She went up the stairs and down the slide at least 15 times. She was having a ball. Every time she got off the slide she we say "More!", and run back up the stair. It made my mom and I laugh and watch in awe as this tiny little person was climbing the big kids toys. Then she discovered an even bigger slide and being the dare devil she is, of course wanted to go down it.
It was a lovely day, a little warm for winter, can you say 85 degrees? I know i shouldn't complain half the north east is still covered in snow, but it was a little warm to be running around a park. It felt good to get out and spend time with my mom, but i am feeling a little tired and stuffy, so rest is due. However it was worth it so Sienna could spend some special time with grandma and the ducks, because we know I won't be getting that close to birds anytime soon.
